1st Aperitivo at my place...

Ok so we planned and had our first party at Majorana 171 Silenzi apt. We managed to pack over 50 people in to our place!!! Considering we had no living room, just a kitchen and two balconies, you can imagine it was f-ing packed! I called it an aperitivo and all my friends kept asking me about, ''When is your party again?'' In that sense I guess I didnt explain aperitivo with people very well, meaning small snacks to eat as well as drinks will be provided. All in all we spent only 70 euros split between 5 of the roomates. The juicy details Ill save until you visit me or I get back to the US, just ask me about it! Lots of girls, so many different people came together to meet and talk. There were Erasmus students, AIESEC, girls from Naples, Interns here in Rome, European Commission, Norwegian and Finnish diplomats all together. Quite the group I'd have to say!

It was a lot of fun meeting everyone's friends even though my roomates got kinda pissed when they realized that there were like 25 of my friends there. Afterwards we went to testachio across the Tiber. Birgit and Katrin, my austrian roomates, got really trashed and were throwing up, 'bleh' when they got out of the car and we had to go back home after hanging out in the area by the clubs just talking with our group. Finally ready to kick ass out here in my job and my friends. Studying about 2-3 hours of Italian on my own while speaking to my roomates. Now that Im settled anything is possible! Ive gotten to the point where I need to learn Italian as fast as possible to express myself. Losing valuable Q.T. with a lot of people I want to talk to... if ya know what I mean, haha!

I hope all you Chicago heads and doing well and if youre planning on a trip I think the spring time would be nicer than summer. Its supposed to get so hot here that its almost unbearable. Combine that with 100.000 tourists in the city every weekend and you'll really wish you came earlier.

Ciao,
Roland
